The purpose of the role is to provide planning support to all aspects of the Programme:
Accountabilities:
• Develop integrated project plans on MS Project
• Update and maintain project plans
• Understand project tasks and deliverables
• Maintain milestone details on CMT
• Agree milestones to be tracked and reported
• Produce reports demonstrating plan status
• Advise on imminent milestones
• Perform quality assurance on project plans to ensure they are consistent with planning standards and support project managers to make required changes.
• Derive and highlight critical path of project
• Derive resource requirements from the plan.
• Apply changes to the plan as approved by project managers and required governance
• Agree re-baseline approach with project managers
• Re-baseline plan when requested by project managers
• Incorporate dependencies between supplier plans into integrated plan
• Incorporate dependencies with other projects into integrated plan
• Work closely in partnership with each supplier to ensure that an integrated plan is maintained.
• Maintain planning assumptions based on input from project managers
• Produce ad-hoc planning reports as requested by project managers
Deliverables:
• Integrated MS Project plan – maintained and up to date
• Milestone Plan
• Regular reports on plan status to be passed to project managers – such as 8 week look ahead plan.
• Ad-hoc reports as requested – such as 2 week look ahead of all tasks.
• Resource plan derived from Project plan.
• Critical path identification.
• CMT milestones – maintained and up to date.
• Maintained planning assumptions.
