Core accountabilities:
• Manage the end-to-end significant project delivery to agreed business standards and requirements
• Define the scope and establish the project governance
• Manage the project specification in alignment with the needs and strategic direction of multiple Business Units
• Ensure the initial business case and terms of reference provide a sound basis for project initiation
• Ensure the benefits identified in the business case are realised, through putting processes and procedures in place to measure and monitor benefits
• Establish and manage project schedules, costs and quality objectives
• Assess and manage risks, dependencies and cost over-runs. Identify, recommend and take action as appropriate
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with accountable executives, customers, suppliers and colleagues across multiple business units / division
• Manage, motivate and develop project team members (internal and external), ensuring their performance is of the required standard to meet the needs of the business
• Develop the necessary knowledge of systems, processes and procedures to ensure all elements of the project are delivered. Support the knowledge development of the project team
• Manage the testing, analysis and design requirements and delivery of quality driven test solutions
• Manage the research, analysis and information for decision making and provide advice and support to sponsors, customers and team members
• Communicate and implement Change ensuring all those affected fully understand the reason, benefits and implications of the Change
• Ensure the project deliverables conform to required standards, practices and procedures of the Business Units
• Experience of movement of work between operational sites would be an advantage, as would experience of movement of operational work to outsourced providers
